Daryl’s new film COASTAL will be showing in Cinemas April 17th, worldwide. The film is about a tour I did after being off the road for four years when Covid grabbed the country and slowed us all down. It is a beautiful film, full of wonderful images I love, the venues I chose to play solo, performances of rare songs I never have played, and the feeling…… Daryl’s images and the music she chose to use really create a feeling that I have never felt in one of my films or albums. The songs are old and new but rare, inasmuch as I had never played many of them live. They seemed so fresh to me, as did the whole experience of being in front of people for the first time in years.

Daryl captured that whole feeling, travelling on the bus, riding down the highway from town to town, backstage, talking with Jerry Don, my driver as we roll along. All in all its a great ride on my old bus. Since then I have written a new song about the bus, ‘Silver Eagle’.

The great camera work…. the music so alive in me, the beauty of the architecture… she captured, really made this a special moment in my life. Thanks Daryl! Soon you will see Coastal and hear the music on the Reprise soundtrack album of the same name. I am very happy about that!
