*Many unseen performances from the era’s sessions appear in *Harvest Time. As I watched the Nashville sessions, London Symphony sessions, Harvest Barn sessions, rare never heard or seen performances and interviews with the musicians, I was transported back to those days.

*Jack Nitzsche, Kenny Buttrey, Ben Keith, Tim Drummond, John Harris, Elliot Mazer, are all there with me making *Harvest. It’s beautiful and a bit lonely. They are all gone now, these old friends, musicians, except for their unforgettable music and our collective memories together. So great to see all of them again at their peak.

If you pay attention to the Times Contrarian (and I suspect you might) you’ve been looking forward to this film since Neil first teased the idea back in 2020.* Behind the scenes I’ve been looking forward to it since we first started reading shot logs, transferring assets and reviewing footage a couple years before that—this project was in many ways my introduction to Neil and NYA, and has been a constant companion in one form or another on my to-do list ever since. Letting it go is bittersweet: writing this announcement is the second to last Harvest 50th item on my list. All that remains is to publish the box set on NYA and attend the screening on December 1st—maybe I’ll see you there!
