Neil Young Archives Volume III Unboxing

Early 1976 Crazy Horse and Solo tour of Japan, featuring the first Crazy Horse tour with Frank ‘Poncho’ Sampedro on guitar, one of the most memorable Crazy Horse tours. Produced by the Volume Dealers, a companion piece to ‘Across the Water’, the film also included in Volume 3.

Continuing the 1976 Crazy Horse and solo England-Scotland tours.

Snapshot In Time (audio verite).March to December, 1977) Nicollette Larson, Linda Ronstadt, David Briggs and Neil around a table at LInda’s house in Malibu, going over new songs for future recording American Stars n Bars.

Windward Passage (July to August, 1977) The Ducks - Bob Mosely, Jeff Blackburn, Johnny Craviotto , Neil Young, Live in Santa Cruz, produced by Tim Mulligan with Jeff Blackburn. The Ducks were a real band. Everyone sang their own songs.

Oceanside/Countryside (May to September, 1977) Acoustic Solo with overdubs By Neil, in Florida, at Triad Studio, Fort Lauderdale, + three songs previously recorded at Crazy Mama’s Nashville, with the band that would later become the International Harvesters - Karl T. Himmel, the late greats Joe Osborne, Rufus Thibodeaux, Ben Keith.

Union Hall (November, 1977) A live rehearsal with Neil and Nicolette and the ‘Give to the Wind Orchestra,’ preparing for an upcoming Miami show, recorded live, on a portable stereo tape recorder, in Union Hall Nashville Tennessee.

Boarding House May 24-27, 1978, A complilation of solo performances from The Boarding House, San Franciso, produced with Tim Mulligan.

Devo & Boarding House II (May 28, 1978) A studio recording of DEVO and Neil, performing ’Out of the Blue’ from ‘A Different Fur’ Recording studio in South San Francissco, in the afternoon, and a compilation of solo night performances from the Boarding House later that same day. Produced with Tim Mulligan.

Sedan Delivery (August to October 1978). Crazy Horse Highlights from The Rust Never Sleeps period, produced with David Briggs.

*Coastline *(July 1980 to July 1981). Recordings from Broken Arrow Ranch and Gold Star Studio, Hollywood, with the ‘Hawks and Doves Band’.
