Niko and I first met during the ‘Landing on Water’ sessions in the mid eighties when he was engineering and Danny Kortchmar was producing. We have been working regularly together since those days.

In 1990 we did ‘Freedom’ with ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’, working on the old green board at Broken Arrow Ranch.

Niko, my good friend, has always been a great collaborator with me, a pleasure to work with through the years. His talent at the board and in the studio is legendary and we have become close friends over the years we have made records together. - ‘This Note’s for You’ is one of my favorites, along with Storytone.

Recently we completed ‘The Boarding House’ film and record for volume 3 of the Archives. When we were recording ‘Barn’ in 2021, Niko was in the Le Mobile control room, where he can be seen in the film of the same name. We were so high on that album when we finished it that we wanted to start another one right away - but I didn’t have the songs.

Niko Bolas has been a blessing to me, both as friend and co-producer with the ‘Volume Dealers’. Thanks Niko! Let’s make another record!
