Re-Ac-Tor 1981vs big change 2025

Neil, and NYA, friends, it is here that Kento lugs out the big TEAC reel-to-reel of life and switches the rewind button back to 1981 when I think I was just 15 or 16 years old and heard the legendary Jim Ladd from 94.7 KMET Los Angeles who sadly passed away this last year at the age of 75 playing the new (re-ac-tor) LP from Neil Young Crazy Horse: specifically, two cuts (Southern Pacific and Opera Star). When I heard these on the radio I had to have that record LOL as I don't remember how many horse stalls I had to clean, yard work, but I coughed up the bucks and walked in the rain cheerfully and back to old music store that doesn't exist anymore—an old chain called Music Plus in Orange, California—soaking wet to buy that album for a whole whopping $3.99 because it had a cutout at the top right: a discounted new LP for an amazing price. I couldn't understand what cutouts were at that time, but ever since I have never seen a re-ac-tor LP without that cutout Down the street in my old neighborhood of Addington Drive East Anaheim, I had a friend named Scott and he had a girlfriend named Debbie and she was an opera singer. I walked down the street and I could hear her singing opera inside the house. She had a beautiful voice and she used to drive him nuts wanting to be an opera star. He came over and asked me what I was listening to, and he laughed because that was his song about his girlfriend!!! but I was excited for that record as I am excited just as to hear the latest with the Chrome Hearts. The coolest thing is is that I don't have to walk in the rain and get drenched—I can get it right here at NYA—but I wanted everyone to know that I'm really excited about this new record and that if I had to I would walk in the rain to hear this great new release!!

So many things have changed since re-ac-tor in 1981 to 2025, where we all stand right now together. Thankfully we still have the great music and we're here together with our journey.

As I look back at 1981 in reflections but that time the people that I knew that are no longer with us who loved your music as much as I have and I think of that 15–16-year-old kid that I was with the Shaggy long hair, cut up blue jeans, and flannel ditching school, smoking (cough), buying that record, you can't get that back LOL

At 60 years old I have the same anticipated excitement as I did as a teenager in 1981. I give thanks to you for that Neil, Thanks!!

Looking forward to the new record with the Chrome Hearts!!
