In a recent letter from Steve Downunder, Neil discusses the future of NYA:
STILLS / NYA
I was so pleased the the Chev single was being played on the radio who would have thought!
I am looking forward to the show with Stills even though I wont be there Im sure youtube will be.
With your continued deep friendship with Stephen you say you play with him regularly. Does the topic of recording together ever come up?
One last question in the inevitable event of your passing which would be a very sad day for me and a lot of others, is there a plan for NYA to continue in some form and who might be the compass for this to happen? Is there a plan?
I know that you have said you turned a profit one month, but how long can your goodwill for this project be funded? I hope forever, but things have a way of evolving into a sustainable format. I feel a little uneasy bringing this up and if you don't answer that's cool too.
I remain a true fan and have since Harvest a long journey but very rewarding listening to all your changes even though its one song.
Long may you run
Steve Downunder
Hi Steve
Thanks so much for your thoughts and questions. NYA has a plan to go on after me. I have my son Zeke and my great friends here at NYA, John O'Neill, Phil Baker, Liela Crossett, Phil Denslow, and so many others and I think the archives will continue without me. My main job now is to keep building it out. I love this work. it shines a light on all the wonderful people I have in my life. We will have our first price increase at some time in the future just to keep on top of things as long as possible.
Love Neil
